Pandora NecklaceSpecial Police Robbery unit targets Curtin University attacks A DEDICATED detective unit is trying to combat a surge in robberies in the Kensington area in recent months, particularly against young students from Curtin University. Police have today revealed that the 10 person dedicated unit has been running since the start of May. During that time about 75 robberies have been carried out in the Cannington, Belmont and Bentley areas, resulting in about 40 arrests.

Overnight, a Korean tourist was robbed at knifepoint in Bentley. It follows a spate of armed robberies near Curtin University in recent weeks.
